National Breast Cancer Awareness month is a great time to promote healthy breast habits such as regular screening and monthly breast self-exam. It is estimated that about 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, and it is the second most common cancer in women– next to skin cancer.
Some common signs and symptoms of breast cancer are a lump in the breast, nipple discharge (not related to normal lactation), and change in shape or size of the breast.
Any questions regarding your breast health, or to discuss any changes that you may have noticed please contact your health care providers for the best advice.
